A baby bottlenose dolphin born earlier this month is open to the public at an aquarium in Motobu, Okinawa, and is adorable to visitors.

At Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, one of the tourist destinations in Okinawa Prefecture, bottlenose dolphins became pregnant by artificial insemination in the middle of March last year and gave birth safely on the 1st of this month.

The aquarium has been open to the public with mothers and babies since the 29th.

The sex and weight of the baby are not yet known, but the length of the body is 1 meter and 20 centimeters, which is about 10 centimeters larger than when it was born.

The baby swam vigorously while snuggling up to his mother, showing a lovely appearance to families who visited for 30 days.

A fourth grader from Naha said, "It's small and cute. I was only a month old, but I thought it was fast to swim."

Mr. Katsutoshi Higa, who is in charge of breeding, said, "I want everyone to observe closely and watch the growth."
