A 31-year-old woman was stabbed on the street in Berlin-Pankow – according to initial findings from her partner.
The 42-year-old suspect was arrested and is said to have six children with the victim, a police spokesman said.
The man is urgently suspected of having killed the woman on Friday morning.
A relationship act may be in the room, the spokesman said.
According to the information, the woman lived in a refugee home in the neighborhood.

According to initial findings, the 31-year-old was so badly injured on Friday around 10 a.m. that she died on the spot.
The perpetrator fled, it said.

Around 1 p.m., emergency services arrested the 42-year-old in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene after witnesses recognized him.
"He has apparently returned," the spokesman said.
