Three people were shot dead at the scene after a male suspect opened fire at a motel in Biloxi.
Another person was shot and killed as the suspect fled to Gulfport in a carjacking.
The suspect hid in a Gulfport convenience store and confronted the police. The police fired tear gas at him, but the suspect did not respond. Then the police entered the convenience store and found the suspect dead.
Police have not disclosed the cause of his death, and the suspect's motive is still under investigation.
