“Food Safety” prevents the sale of famous food products in Egypt

The National Authority for Food Safety in Egypt instructed all traders not to sell or trade indomie meals in the markets, according to the Grocery, Food and Herbal Medicine Division in Alexandria.

Hazem El-Menoufy, a member of the Food Division of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, head of the Grocery, Food and Herbal Medicine Division in the Alexandria Chamber, told Al-Youm Al-Sabaa newspaper that the National Food Safety Authority issued a letter directed to all traders not to sell or trade a number of “Indomie” items in the markets. In order to preserve the safety of citizens, it includes all “chilli flavors, a special spiced chicken taste of 75 grams, and cups of vegetables 65 grams.”

It is noteworthy that the Food Safety Authority had decided earlier to withdraw samples from Indomie products to investigate their compliance with food and food safety requirements in Egypt.
