The Spaniards do not deserve the spectacle that was experienced yesterday at the seat of national sovereignty.

And not because a lively or harsh debate took place, but precisely because it did not take place.

There is not enough force to denounce the embarrassing submission of the Legislature to the Executive

: that is, from Batet to Sánchez and his petty parliamentary calculations to validate his decrees.

In order to please his anti-establishment associates, the president is capable of discrediting the National Intelligence Center.

and to subordinate to their short-term interest the regulations of the Cortes, the last consensus standing between the two great parties, the reputation of our national security officials and the commission of official secrets.

Citizens attend the stunned

Direct blackmail of the enemies of the State to the Government of Spain

.

And they verify that, instead of coming out in defense of everyone's institutions, the sanchismo gives in to the extortion of the separatists, delivers a new portion of institutional terrain, deepens the impunity of those pardoned and uncritically buys the victim story born of a grossly biased information published by a foreign media.

Perhaps the latter is the most serious, due to the irreparable damage it inflicts both on the State Security Forces and Bodies and on the internal and external credit of our Justice.

But how is it possible that the State Government is ashamed of the work of its intelligence services?

There are only two options here: either Margarita Robles is lying when she says that any surveillance task carried out in Spain is protected by law, or she is telling the truth.

If she lies, let it be proven.

And if she is telling the truth, what dangerous game is her boss playing by leaving her alone?

We knew of the animosity that Podemos and the independence movement have long professed towards Robles, precisely because they detect in her the kind of commitment to the State that

does not easily submit to the unlawful pressures of populism

.

And perhaps also because she is not a minister born in a social gathering or promoted by virtue of organic loyalties or personal favors: unlike too many members of this pharaonic and still inoperative government, Robles was a judge at the age of 23, she was the first Spaniard to preside over a hearing and became a Supreme Court judge.

She does not need the policy to collect a good salary.

As a minister, she has had successes and also mistakes, but perhaps one day she will realize that

having put his prestige at the service of Sánchez was the worst of them all

.

The parliamentary solitude of the Minister of Defense yesterday, while Aragonès demanded her head from Catalonia, was a cry of accusation against Sánchez.

Why didn't any other comrade in the Council of Ministers support her when she came out to defend the dignity of the State?

Has the president given the order to marginalize her to please Rufián, Belarra and her company?

Especially:

To what pathetic degree of weakness will a precarious, divided and discredited government reach?

before his radical partners, while pretending to give lessons in alliance politics to the opposition?

Because depending on ERC or Bildu to the point of humiliation is not just Sánchez's problem: it unfortunately affects all Spaniards.
