A new currency is coming to the cryptocurrency market, it's called Klapcoin.

Its aim is to support the development of films through the creation of a financing fund.

It must also allow everyone to invest in French series and cinema.

This production company was founded by actress and producer Sarah Lelouch.

"We realized that the development of French cinema was sinning and was really short of money", she recalls at the microphone of Europe 1.

Investing in the profitability of French films

"As such, we wanted to find a new funding model. We asked ourselves the question of trying to find a model that does not yet exist", continues the actress.

"That's when cryptocurrency hit us, and we created this fund."

The goal ?

"Behave like an investor: we invest in a catalog of projects that we are going to develop."

The idea is to "raise eight million, which represents the development of 50 works".

"By investing with Klapcoin, we invest in the profitability of these films", insists the founder.

To benefit from financial aid from the DCF, audiovisual works (feature films, series, documentaries) will be studied by a committee of experts sponsored by Claude Lelouch and chaired by Julie Gayet.

This committee is made up of ten permanent members including Kev Adams, Valérie Perrin, Fred Musa, Fianso and Elsa Zylberstein.

The idea of ​​this project is to be "open to the general public, it is moreover the ambition of this project", specifies Sarah Lelouch, "to rub shoulders with the public, to ask their opinion, to create a real community which will be able to get involved in the development of French films".
