Iftar meals cause 50 "cases of poisoning" in Syria

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, on Wednesday, that "more than 50 people were poisoned, as a result of eating breakfast meals distributed by charitable societies, in Al-Farouqiah and Al-Tiny camps in the city of Salqin, northwest of Idlib, where they were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment."

After recording these numbers, the number of injuries increased to more than 150 cases of poisoning during the past 72 hours, according to the observatory.

On April 25, more than 100 people, "residents of the camps of Al-Aina, Kafr Awaid Al-Mahabah and Al-Mukhtar near the town of Kali in the northern countryside of Idlib", were poisoned as a result of providing spoiled meals to them on a "fasting breakfast" table by relief organizations, according to the observatory.

According to the sources of the Syrian Observatory, most of the injured, children and women, were transferred to local hospitals for treatment.
