The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) announced on the 27th that the CUHK Council approved the reappointment of Professor Duan Chongzhi as the President of CUHK at a meeting on the 26th for a term of 3 years, starting from January 1, 2024. effective from today.

  According to the official website of CUHK, Duan Chongzhi took office as the eighth president of CUHK on January 1, 2018.

Duan Chongzhi was born in Hong Kong, and then went to the United States for further study and was awarded a Ph.D. in Life Sciences by The Rockefeller University in New York in 1977.

He is currently a professor of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine at CUDA.
