After investigation, the group-purchased goods were sold by Shanghai Zeru International Trade Co., Ltd.
The company sold a total of 230 group-buying packages to a community, which included pork ribs, chicken wings, skin-on leg meat, cabbage, potatoes, and onions.
Among them, 60 frozen packaged chicken wings exceeded the expiration date.
The sale of expired food by the parties involved is suspected of violating Article 25 of the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of the Quality and Safety of Edible Agricultural Products Market Sales. It is stipulated that "if the value of the illegal production and operation of food and food additives is less than 10,000 yuan, a fine of more than 50,000 yuan but not more than 100,000 yuan shall be imposed; if the value of the goods is more than 10,000 yuan, a fine of more than ten times the value of the goods shall be imposed. A fine of not more than ten times; if the circumstances are serious, the license shall be revoked.", an administrative penalty shall be imposed.
At the same time, the illegal operation of the upstream suppliers of the products involved has been notified to the relevant local market supervision departments for investigation and punishment.
