The next change of site of the Saint-Denis market (Seine-Saint-Denis) does not pass with the traders concerned.

The latter have also planned a blocking operation on Tuesday to protest against the decision.

The stalls will have to settle several hundred meters further in a few weeks, indicates

A project for the whole city center

Currently located on Place Jean-Jaurès, the market will move to Place du 8-mai-1945.

The town hall wishes to initiate revegetation work on the initial location of the shops.

This project is part of a renovation program for downtown Saint-Denis.

It was presented by the PS mayor Mathieu Hanotin during a public meeting on Monday.

The protesters are also protesting against a new market regulation currently under study and which could eventually be put in place.

Market traders standing three days a week were recently received at the town hall, where they expressed their opposition to the move and their anger.
