Originally worn as an undergarment, part of the regulation uniform of the US Navy, popularized by Hollywood, the T-shirt is worn daily all over the world.

According to a study by Kantar, we spend nearly 1.2 billion euros a year on T-shirts just for France.

With an average of 17 models in an adult's wardrobe, the T-shirt seems to have a bright future ahead of it.

Colored version, fitted, loose, with a political, feminist or advertising message... there is something for everyone.

Like jeans or sneakers, the T-shirt is one of those emblematic garments adopted by all generations, all walks of life and by men and women.

What is the history of this garment and how to explain the success for a simple T-shaped garment?
