When this intangible cultural heritage is passed on to the fourth generation after 90 years, what changes will there be?

Is it lost, or is it upright and innovative?

Lanzhou gourd carving is a unique folk skill. Carving gourds, beef noodles, and sheepskin rafts are also known as the three treasures of Lanzhou. In 2006, they were included in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in Gansu Province.

The 35-year-old Ruan Xiyue is a non-genetic person of Lanzhou Ruan's gourd carving. After nearly 90 years of inheritance, she is now the fourth generation.

In the inheritance of family elders, almost everyone can carve, and the carving skills of each generation are different.

My grandfather is good at the artistic conception of landscapes, my mother is good at delicate characters, my uncle likes to carve famous works, and my aunt is fond of calligraphy.

Ruan Xiyue said that the craftsmanship has been passed down to this day, and there have been great changes in both the creative skills and the promotion mode, and the fragrance of wine is also afraid of deep alleys.

To be a craftsman, you need to keep your heart.

Why did the art of carving gourds take root in Lanzhou and passed on for a hundred years?

From the creativity of the ancestors to the innovation of today, how can we inherit and carry forward the skills of our ancestors in the hands of our own generation?

Let's hear what this young non-genetic man has to say.
