Sources: Elon Musk's acquisition of "Twitter" is in the final stage

Informed sources said that the social networking site Twitter has started the final stage of negotiations regarding the acquisition of the company by American billionaire Elon Musk for $ 43 billion, which could be one of the largest acquisitions of a listed company so far.

And the Bloomberg news agency indicated that the Twitter administration is currently working on setting the terms of a deal that could lead to an agreement during the day if negotiations go smoothly.

Bloomberg quoted one of the sources as saying that Musk is mobilizing partners for the acquisition deal and continues to talk to potential investor partners about the deal.

The sources said that discussions between billionaire Musk and Twitter’s board of directors regarding acquiring Twitter shares at $54.20 per share continued until the early hours of this morning.

Twitter's share price rose 39% to $50.84 during today's trading.

The Wall Street Journal had reported earlier today that Twitter decided to re-examine the takeover offer submitted by Elon Musk after it had raised the necessary funding for the deal, as the newspaper quoted informed sources as saying that Twitter managers are re-examining the deal in light of the announcement of the owner and founder of Musk. Electric car company Tesla raised $46.5 billion in funding for the deal.
