Monday, April 25 is World Malaria Day, a potentially deadly disease caused by parasites transmitted by mosquito bites.

In 2020, the WHO identified 241 million cases of malaria worldwide.

The number of deaths is estimated at 627,000 in 2020. Decryption with our guest Professor Daouda Ndiaye, malariologist, independent WHO expert.

We will also go to Burkina Faso where each year more than 50% of the population is affected by the disease.

But a glimmer of hope could come from the land of honest men where clinical trials, which have shown their effectiveness, are carried out by a team of scientists.
