On the afternoon of April 23, in Qixian County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, an old man was buried when the earth suddenly collapsed while digging a sewer.
The sewer is about 3 meters high and 2 meters wide.
The old man did not wear a safety helmet during construction, and his head was injured by falling stones.
Fortunately, he was conscious and not life-threatening.
Firefighters used shovels to move the earth around the old man to the outside of the pit.
After nearly 20 minutes of intense rescue, the old man was finally rescued successfully and handed over to medical staff for emergency treatment.
