Fahd Berri attacks a policeman and causes panic in an Iranian city before he was killed by two bullets

After he attacked a policeman and caused panic in the city of Qaim Shahr in northern Iran, he killed a stray leopard who frightened people for hours.

The head of the Environmental Protection Department in Mazandaran Province, Musallam Ahangari, announced that the animal "was killed after being hit by two bullets in an attempt to save the policeman's life," according to the official IRNA news agency.

He also indicated that the leopard died "despite the efforts of the veterinarians" to save him.


Meanwhile, the spokesman for the same department, Mayar Wali Bor, pointed out earlier that the animal "attacked the policeman and injured him before fleeing towards a park," adding that the condition of the wounded policeman "does not cause concern."

And spread on the communication sites in Iran, many videotapes showing the leopard standing on the upper edge of a bank, panicking, before jumping to the sidewalk and running away.

The tapes also showed a number of terrified residents running away from him.

It is noteworthy that "Hamshahri" newspaper, issued by the Tehran municipality, had previously reported that wild animals such as wolves and foxes were observed during the last period in civilian areas.
