That night, at the construction site of the Beijing section of the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway, the No. 42 turnout was moved laterally and inserted into the existing Beijing-Harbin Railway.
Turnout No. 42 is 157.2 meters long, with a total weight of 232 tons and a traverse distance of 7.7 meters. It is currently the largest and longest high-speed turnout in China's domestic high-speed rail line.
The construction plan was completed on the 25th, laying the foundation for the scheduled opening of the Jingtang Intercity Railway.
