Without a house to his name, he prefers to put his suitcases with his friends depending on where his business takes him.
“I don't even own a house right now.
I literally stay with friends.
If I travel to the San Francisco Bay side, where most of Tesla's engineering sites are, I alternate between my friends' free rooms,” the Tesla and SpaceX boss said during a recent TED interview given following its hostile takeover on Twitter.

I won't own a house anymore,” he tweeted at the time.
