 The official website of the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa published a response to the question: Why did God Almighty hide the Night of Power?

Do you have identification tags out?"

The response came from Dr. Nasr Farid Wasel, the former Grand Mufti of the Republic, and stated: “God concealed His pleasure in His obedience;

So that the people of obedience increased in their deeds, and his anger was hidden in his disobedience;

So that evildoers will refrain from their deeds, and therefore the wisdom of God Almighty necessitated that He conceals people’s ages and ages, and did not specify them;

So that man finds in obedience to his Lord, and obtains His pleasure, the Almighty said: And for every nation there is a term, so when their term comes, they do not delay it for an hour, nor do they seek justice.” [Al-A’raf: 34]

He added: "He hidden the hour in time. Customs: 187]»

He explained that God concealed the Night of Decree in Ramadan in order for the fasting person to seek it, especially in the last ten days of it.

We hope that you agree to the night of fate, which Allaah said: "The night is better than a thousand months. his world and his hereafter;

Therefore, God concealed Laylat al-Qadr during the days of Ramadan, urging those who fast to multiply their deeds during Ramadan

He also referred to the signs of Laylat al-Qadr, “Imam al-Qurtubi mentioned in his “interpretation” (20/137, Dar al-Kutub al-Masryah) of Surat al-Qadr saying: [The second: in its signs: among them is that the sun rises in its morning white without rays, and al-Hasan said : The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: its water, and I found it sweet and smooth.”
