A member of the mobile gendarmes squadron of Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis) is not ready to forget his day of April 13.
That morning, he was on the A3 motorway in his company car in the middle of traffic jams.

“I could already see the top of the skull”
The father of the family made him understand that his pregnant wife had lost her water.
He asked her to escort them to the hospital.
But by examining the mother, the gendarme realized that the baby was ready to arrive.
"I could already see the top of the skull, it was starting to come out," he said.
He then announces to the mother that it is he who will give birth to her.
The soldier, also a volunteer firefighter, barely had time to put on gloves to welcome the little boy.
The mother and her child were immediately wrapped in a survival blanket.
They were then entrusted to the fire brigade and the family was taken to the maternity ward.
Today, the baby and his mother are doing very well.
