“An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 was registered on April 21 at 23:38 local time (15:38 Moscow time),” Interfax reports.
As noted, the epicenter of the tremors was located 171 km southeast of the uninhabited island of Simushir at a depth of 52 km.
