This luminous white mass moving quickly was seen around 9:30 p.m. in Ile-de-France, Normandy and even as far as Switzerland and Belgium.
But the explanation did not drag on.
The UFO was, in all likelihood, a rocket: the Falcon 9 from Elon Musk's American company, SpaceX.
The machine was, it seems, in full de-orbiting maneuver and gas created this famous white cloud described by many Internet users.
