The "Tonami Tulip Fair", where about 3 million tulips decorate the venue, opened on the 22nd in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture.

The Tonami Tulip Fair, known as Toyama's spring tradition, begins today at the Tonami Tulip Park in Tonami City, and will be colored with about 300 varieties and 3 million tulips during the exhibition period.

The theme of this year is "Love and hope (dream) as many as the number of stars that the flowers color" so that even if the corona is bad, 210,000 tulips are used in the large flower bed of the park. Stars and hearts are represented.

Currently, the flowering is still about 50%, but according to the sponsoring foundation, it will be in full bloom in the latter half of next week, and the whole picture of the large flower bed will emerge.

The number of admission tickets that can be sold per hour is limited to 5,000 to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, but many families visited from the morning and enjoyed taking pictures of tulip flowers.

A 42-year-old man from Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture, said, "I'm happy to be able to show a lot of tulips to my children."

The "Tonami Tulip Fair" will be held until May 5, and is expected to attract 300,000 people during the period.
