In Greece, the surge in energy prices over one year contributed to causing average inflation of almost 9% compared to March 2021. Unheard of in nearly 30 years.

In a country where the minimum income is around 700 euros, many households are already struggling to cope with this rise in prices.

+79% over one year for electricity, +68% for natural gas, an additional 29% at the pump for gasoil and diesel have been recorded since the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

This general increase is hurting a country already badly shaken by a decade of financial crisis.
