(Shanghai War Epidemic Record) Fight against making money by "epidemic": leftovers turned into "fine pork belly", two men detained

China News Service, Shanghai, April 21 (Li Shuzheng Zhang Jiayu) The reporter learned from the Shanghai Songjiang police on the 21st that recently, according to the clues provided by the market supervision department, the police found pork sold by a food processing enterprise located in Jiuting Town, Songjiang District. There is a situation of "shoddy charging" and high price profit.

On the evening of the 19th, the Economic Investigation Detachment of the Songjiang Public Security Bureau, together with the Jiuting Police Station, arrested Zhang, the legal person of the company involved, and Wei, the wholesaler, and brought them to justice.

After investigation, Zhang and Wei took advantage of the shortage of materials during the epidemic to cut and pack the breast milk meat and leftovers stored in the company's refrigerated warehouse into "high-end pork belly", and sold them at a high price in a gift package bundled with meat and vegetables. About 658 copies were sold, involving more than 120,000 yuan.

At present, the criminal suspects Zhang and Wei have been taken criminal compulsory measures by the Songjiang police in accordance with the law for the crime of selling fake and shoddy products, and the case is under further investigation.

The police warn: Shanghai police have always maintained "zero tolerance" for the criminal act of using the epidemic to sell fake and shoddy products, and will continue to work with relevant departments to crack down on them to effectively maintain market stability and protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens.
