On the afternoon of the 20th, a fire broke out in Nagaya in Ikuno-ku, Osaka, killing two men and women and injuring one woman.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Around 3:45 pm on the 20th, a woman living nearby reported to the fire department that a fire had broke out in a row of five Nagaya houses in Katsuyamakita, Ikuno Ward.



According to police, about 120 square meters of the Nagaya was completely burned down, and the fire was almost extinguished at about 5:50 pm, about two hours later.

Two adult men and women were killed in the fire, and one woman was taken to the hospital with a throat burn.

According to the fire department, a burned woman has no life-threatening consequences.



The woman explained to the fire department that she was a family of five and three were in the house at the time of the fire.



Police are rushing to confirm the identities of the two dead and are investigating the cause of the fire.



The site is a corner of a residential area about 400 meters southeast of JR Momodani Station.
