In Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, many people are enjoying the flowers in full bloom in the huge tulip fields that have been around for 30 years.

In Tanto-cho, Toyooka City, locals have been cultivating tulips since 1992 in line with the spring tourist season, and this year they have grown 1 million tulips of 300 types in a field of 24,000 square meters.

Snow remained in the fields until early last month, but in the middle of this month, it bloomed as usual, and we saw people taking pictures of colorful flowers such as pink and yellow with cameras and smartphones.

In addition, the mascot character "Ai-chan" of the local social welfare council was drawn with 100,000 flowers in 6 colors in an attempt to brighten the area by greeting even with the corona.

A woman from Tamba City who visited with her child said, "I visited for the first time in a long time because it was a corona disaster, but it is beautiful and comfortable."

The executive committee made up of locals said that the number of visitors and entrance fee income will decrease for the second consecutive year due to the influence of the new corona, and it will be difficult to hold it from next year onwards, so the crowd will return local rice and vegetables as a reward. We are looking for support through funding.

Genichi Ota of the executive committee said, "Depopulation and aging are serious, but the area will be lively when the tulips are in bloom. I would like to continue to make beautiful flowers bloom and make the area attractive, so please support me." I did.

The best time to see tulips is around the 25th of this month, and the admission fee is 800 yen for adults and free for high school students and younger.
