In Ukraine, where the military invasion by Russia continues, Kagawa Prefecture's Kotoden Takamatsu Electric Railway is operating a train wrapped in the same color as the Ukrainian flag in an attempt to show solidarity to the operators responsible for railway operation.
Kotoden's wrapping train runs on the Kotohira Line, which connects Takamatsu-chikko Station in Takamatsu City and Kotohira Station in Kotohira Town, from the 19th.
The wrapping was for two cars, and the upper half of the car, which was originally painted white and yellow on the top and bottom, was changed to blue to make it the same color as the Ukrainian flag.
The vehicle has the message "I am with you" or "To Ukrainian railway workers working to save people's lives" in English.
A woman on the train said, "I think it's good to have an intention to oppose the war. I was surprised that the local railroad operators are doing this."

It would be great if it could be an opportunity to evacuate and think about peace. "
Kotoden will operate a wrapping train until mid-November, and will set up a donation box at the station to donate to the Ukrainian Embassy in Tokyo.
