Students from the Second Chance School (E2C) in Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes) have created an ecological ballpoint pen.

The object, created ex nihilo by the trainees, is equipped with a magnetic ruler and a rechargeable ball, reports

L'Ardennais

.

The innovative pen was named Eco'C'Style.

To design it, the young people called on many local players: the Ardennes Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Fab Lab in Charleroi and the Platinium 3D company in Charleville-Mézières.

A first prototype

Aurélien Léon, a local manufacturer of wooden pens, was responsible for designing the first prototype of the pen.

The project will be presented next May at the national competition for mini-companies in Troyes (Aube).

A pride for the students who participated and for all the referents and trainers who supervised them.

A call for donations has also been launched in order to recover rules.

Once production has started, the pens will be marketed and sold on the Internet.

Eventually, they could thus be found in all E2Cs in France.
