The red sunset once again became a magical makeup artist, gilding the Caidigou Village built on the mountain with a layer of gold.

On a path in the ravine, a few cows came leisurely.

"My cow is back." Wang Wenjun quickly walked down the hillside and brought the cow into the cowshed.

31-year-old Wang Wenjun is a native of Caidigou Village, Liyang Town, Heshun County, Shanxi Province.

Having experienced the prosperity of the city, he returned to a small mountain village deep in the mountains five years ago to develop the cattle industry.

He can endure loneliness and endure hardships, and he has walked out of the road to wealth that is different from many of his peers.

Caidigou Village, which bears Wang Wenjun's childhood memories, is located deep in the Taihang Mountains and is economically backward.

This small mountain village with a registered population of 150 has only 40 permanent residents.

In 2015, Wang Wenjun, who had a dream of becoming rich, was introduced to Baigou, Hebei to work. He processed luggage accessories in a private enterprise, with an annual net income of more than 20,000 yuan.

After a year of work, he resigned and returned to Heshun County to drive a taxi.

"The first two jobs were not very satisfactory." Wang Wenjun said that he had a lingering entrepreneurial complex and wanted to take advantage of the unique ecological advantages of Caidigou Village to develop the cattle industry, but he had too little savings. This idea has always been can not achieve.

  Opportunities come in 2017.

At that time, the Shanxi Provincial Public Resources Trading Center dispatched a village radio station founded by Li Hongbo, the first secretary of Caidigou Village, to broadcast a message about the policy of "microcredit for poor households" to benefit the people.

"The advantage of this policy is that poor households apply for small loans, and the interest is borne by the government, which is equivalent to an interest-free loan for poor households." Because he is a poor household, Wang Wenjun's eyes shine: this is not to solve the shortage of entrepreneurial funds good channel?

With the help of Li Hongbo, in June of the same year, Wang Wenjun applied for a loan of 16,000 yuan.

"In the beginning, I had little money, so I could only make a little trouble and bought two calves."

"Raising cattle is hard work. At his age, very few people want to be bored in the village every day." Li Hongbo said that Wang Wenjun could not only endure loneliness but also work hard. The first day of the new year is no exception, and I can occasionally go back to the county town at night.

Usually, when Wang Wenjun's cattle go to the hillside to graze, they don't need to be watched.

After letting the cows out every morning, he was busy cleaning up the dung.

"Three load of shovels are shoveled out every day, and then I pick them into my own cornfield." This state has lasted for two years.

The hard work doesn't stop there.

Wang Wenjun planted 20 mu of corn, and both corn and corn stalks can be used as cattle feed.

Every year from the end of October to the beginning of November, he has to pull all the corn stalks back before it snows, cut them and pack them for winter use.

On the evening of November 5, 2021, Wang Wenjun returned to the county seat, and heavy snow fell suddenly in the mountains.

After rushing back to the village the next day, he had to dig through the thick snow every day and transport the corn stalks to the village.

"After working for more than ten days, fortunately, all the cornstalks were recovered."

In summer, Wang Wenjun is most worried about the heavy rain, because in this weather it is easy for cattle to get lost.

There was a sudden heavy rain, and three cows failed to return after 7 pm, so he hiked seven or eight miles in the rain and climbed to the hillside to look for cows.

That day, because Wang Wenjun didn't have time to bring a flashlight, he could only use the faint light of the mobile phone flashlight to move forward on the hillside with difficulty.

"I was soaking wet, cold and hungry, and my whole body was shaking." Wang Wenjun gritted his teeth and persisted until after 10 p.m., and finally drove the three cows back to the village.

"The first two years were very nervous, but these two years have been much better." Wang Wenjun said that in 2020, he sold 3 calves, and in 2021 he sold 7 more cattle.

Since this year, he has earned at least 60,000 yuan in cattle raising income every year.

In addition, Wang Wenjun also served as a forest ranger and collective mill administrator in the village, earning nearly 10,000 yuan a year.

This year, Wang Wenjun plans to expand the scale of breeding, raising the number of cattle from the current 11 to 20.

After this idea is realized, his net income from cattle raising can reach more than ten thousand yuan per year.

"It doesn't matter if you are hard or lonely." Wang Wenjun said that he firmly believes that the tempering on the road of entrepreneurship will become an alternative wealth on his road to wealth.
