In Romania, welcoming Ukrainians with open arms

They thought they would stay just a few days before continuing their journey further west, and in the end they stayed: 70 to 100,000 Ukrainian refugees - the vast majority of them women and children - chose to settle in Romania.

And the arrivals continue.

Beyond the emergency humanitarian response, the challenge now is integration, particularly through work.

In Cluj-Napoca, Romania's second city, civil society is mobilizing to take up the challenge.
