A shocking video clip circulated widely on social media in Lebanon, today, Friday, showing a woman in the village of Kamed Al-Louz in the western Bekaa, shooting mercilessly at a dog lying on the road in an unbelievable scene.
In the video, which sparked a sensation, the woman bragged about her brutal action, confirming the killing of the animal, as some laughs erupted, the source of which was not known.
This scene ignited social media, and angry criticism poured in from this inhumane behavior against the dog, which was unable to defend itself.
Environmental activists also called on the Internal Security Forces and animal welfare associations to take action against the woman, describing her as a "criminal", stressing that her "natural place is in prison."
It should be noted that the President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, signed the Law on Animal Protection and Welfare on 29 2017, after it was approved by Parliament in its session on 16 2017, to enter into force as soon as it was published in the Official Gazette.
