And give zakat

Our Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, addresses us in many verses by saying: {And pay the zakat}, which is a positive matter like His command to perform the prayer that he combined with zakat, in about eighty verses, further emphasizing the importance of these two pillars in the life of a Muslim. For God is the Lord of the worlds alone, and as for zakat, because it is the basis of life, and it is a purely financial worship of His servants whose faces have surrendered to Him, and their need, and in linking them with one context is evidence that the right of God Almighty is linked to the right of the servants, and that religion is not complete except by performing them together, and that What was reported by the famous authentic hadith “Islam is built on five...” and enumerated the components of the building as: the two testimonies, prayer, zakat, fasting, and pilgrimage to those who are able to make a way, and the hadith of Hudhayfah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, He said: “Islam has eight shares:Islam is a share, prayer is a share, zakat is a share, Hajj is a share, fasting Ramadan is a share, enjoining good is a share, forbidding evil is a share, and jihad in the way of God is a share, and those who have no share have been disappointed.”

The meaning of this is that our religion is integrated and interconnected between the rights of God Almighty and the rights of His servants, and that the Muslim must monitor this integration so as not to disturb one of its building blocks.

Zakat, which is the subject of our discussion today, as it is a social right, is a psychological right in the first place, for the one who pays it is in dire need of it no less than the need of society. And he needs to put his money in front of his hands to shade him on the day when there is no shade but His, Glory be to Him, and he needs to guard against the fire that may be lit with what he treasures, and all of that is by his zakat, which is a small percentage of what God Almighty has bestowed upon him of money.

As for the social right, it is one of the things that every Muslim must be keen on fulfilling it, because he does not earn money except from his social function, whether he is a merchant, an employee or a worker. The society, then, is a partner to it in what is in its possession of zakat money, yet God Almighty did not dictate the community over much of its owner, rather only a few, and God Almighty did not make this partnership in every money that you own, whether little or much, but in the money that you promise to be distinct from Other than you are rich, and since that was the case, it was not the right, Glory be to Him, to leave a person and his conscience to give that a little of a lot or not to give. Rather, He, Glory be to Him, recorded that right for its poor and needy companions, those who work on it, those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and for the necks and the debtors, and for the sake of God and the wayfarer, so God Almighty called it A right that is known to them, and no one disputes it with them.Justice is established among the people, so that the wheel of the economy moves in society, and money performs its function in growth and reconstruction.

Every Muslim should know that money is God’s money that He gives to whomever He wills, and that it is in fact a test from Him, Glory be to Him, to His servant to see whether he will thank him for him by performing what he has obligated upon him, or will he expiate his blessing upon him. May God's grace and grace increase.

May God make us among the thankful and give us more.
