[Explanation] The fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong has lasted for several months. The first batch of six community isolation facilities built with the aid of the central government have been delivered to provide a place where one party can isolate and treat the infected.

The Xintian Fangcai Hospital in Yuen Long District, Hong Kong was officially put into use on March 9 this year. More than 650 isolation rooms can accommodate up to more than 2,000 people in isolation. It has been in operation for more than a month.

For more than a month, quarantined people have come and gone, but the guardians of the square cabin have remained unchanged. They have stayed on their posts for dozens of days and are committed to providing comfortable services for the quarantined people.

[Commentary] Mai Zhihong personally participated in the preliminary construction of Xintian Fangcai Hospital, and witnessed the blood, sweat and hardships put in by the workers.

Now he is also happy to see the stability and improvement of the epidemic in Hong Kong. For him, all the hard work before is very worthwhile.

Basically we only took two weeks to build, during which we encountered a lot of difficulties.

From the construction of this makeshift hospital to the maintenance of it now, no matter how hard it is at this moment, I feel that I am a Hong Konger, and how to contribute to Hong Kong or the society is very important.

[Explanation] The normal operation of the makeshift hospital is inseparable from the day and night patrols of security personnel.

Liang Weijie told reporters that in addition to daily patrols, security colleagues must also conduct regular inspections of the hardware facilities in the cabin to ensure that the quarantined people can use them normally.

We also have a lot of different colleagues. From time to time, they will inspect many different toilets, and all aspects of the bathroom can also ensure that the facilities inside are safe.

For our crew, it might be a bit longer because our work is 12 hours, but for me we all pull together.

[Explanation] Since the square cabin hospitals live in quarantined people, ensuring the safety and hygiene of public facilities and avoiding cross-infection is the top priority of epidemic prevention.

In the opinion of Feng Yinqi, the epidemic prevention supervisor, in addition to ensuring the cleanliness of the facilities, it is also the duty of the epidemic prevention personnel to help those who need help in isolation.

In every bathroom, our epidemic prevention personnel are inside. As long as one of the quarantined people has used it, our epidemic prevention personnel will immediately clean it. In the bathroom, in fact, seeing that they are inconvenient to move, our epidemic prevention personnel will take the initiative to see if they need support.

[Explanation] Xintian Fangcai Hospital is managed by the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and about 240 immigration personnel work in it during peak periods.

The telephone hotline center in charge of Chen Kejia operates 24 hours a day, and the staff keeps in touch with the quarantined people through telephone or chat tools, doing their best to ensure their immediate living needs.

In the first few days of operation, a family of three entered the isolation facility together. It was two young parents and a child who was a few years old. When they arrived, they found that there was only one shower in the shower room of our cabin, and they could not soak in the shower. bath.

They all called us and asked if there was a place to take a bath?

Our colleagues quickly went to find a plastic tub for bathing and gave it to them immediately that night. The two parents were very grateful and felt that we were very careful.

[Explanation] There is sufficient material supply behind what is required.

For He Jionglin, who is in charge of material management, one of the main tasks every day is to count the living materials in the warehouse in time.

We will arrange some books for the children and toys for them.

We have tried it before, and some babies may be relatively small, maybe only two or three months old. We actually even prepared diapers and milk powder for them.

We may also add some hand sanitizers, masks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, or maybe some different types of instant noodles and snacks for our residents, so that they can have a very comfortable and pleasant isolation experience.

[Explanation] In order to take care of the needs of the quarantined people in a timely manner, the Immigration Department also arranged a "Care Love" minivan, which is full of various food and daily necessities every day, and enters the quarantine facility at regular and fixed points to provide warmth to those in need. .
