The unions of the Poitou Alu Foundry reached a financial agreement on Tuesday evening with Renault, the only customer of this automotive subcontractor in receivership, to produce cylinder heads until June 30, the probable date of closure of the factory, we learned on Wednesday from the CGT / CFE-CGC inter-union of this company of 300 employees.
“On our side, we will have to produce 75,000 cylinder heads for Renault by then,” Jean-Philippe Juin, CGT union representative, told AFP.

The Paris Commercial Court is expected to rule on Tuesday on an “extension of the observation period [of the receivership]” until June 30, a liquidation before this date remaining however possible.
