On April 11, local time, "Xue Fan's Creation Gala" was held in Moscow, Russia.

At the party, Chinese students from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Gnessin Conservatory of Music and actors from Moscow Huaxing Art Troupe sang more than 20 pieces.

  Hu Bin, Counselor of the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, said that Xue Fan's works are well known and sung by the masses in China.

This concert is the first time to be held in Moscow, Russia, and will undoubtedly have a far-reaching impact on the further promotion and development of Sino-Russian cultural and friendly exchanges.

  Xue Fan also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the concert planners and performers through the video.

  Xue Fan is a senior translator and musicologist in China. In his nearly 70 years of translation and writing career, he has published nearly 2,000 songs from all over the world, including "A Night in the Suburbs of Moscow", among which there are more than 800 Soviet and Russian songs.

During President Yeltsin's visit to China in 1997, he was awarded the Friendship Medal, the highest national honor.

On October 5 and 6, 1999, the Chinese and Russian governments awarded him the "China-Russia Friendship Medal", "Russia-China Friendship Medal" and certificates of honor respectively.

On April 1, 2022, the China Translators Association awarded Xue Fan the "Translation Culture Lifetime Achievement Award" in recognition of his outstanding contributions to translation and foreign cultural exchanges.
