(Shanghai War Epidemic Record) Self-reported: I drove a "help old car" in Shanghai, and my parents handed me a meal through the window

China News Service, Shanghai, April 12 (Liu Xiao) At 3 pm on April 9, Yang Chunbo, a 41-year-old truck driver, wrung out his T-shirt in the bathroom of a gas station in Hongqiao, Shanghai. He has been for half a month. I didn't change clothes.

As a driver of Cainiao Logistics Helping Old Cars, Yang Chunbo is one of the limited number of truck pass holders in Shanghai.

Since March, Yang Chunbo has been participating in the work of ensuring people's livelihood.

On the morning of April 9, he had just delivered more than 1,000 catties of vegetables to 5 nursing homes in Hongkou District. While refueling the truck, he washed his clothes with salt flowers.

In the past few weeks, Yang Chunbo and four of his colleagues have distributed more than 300,000 items of supplies to Shanghai nursing homes and other communities and institutions. They work more than 12 hours a day, eat instant noodles during the day, and sleep in the car at night, becoming a "special car for the elderly". A group of persistent drivers.

The following is Yang Chunbo's own statement:

"I haven't entered the house for more than 20 days, and I use my body to warm and dry clothes"

Yang Chunbo: My home is in Baoshan, but I haven't entered the house for more than 20 days, because it is easy to enter the community and can't get out.

Moreover, it is very risky to send materials outside every day, for fear of causing trouble to the people in the community.

The company has opened a hotel, but I have never stayed there. I am also afraid that if there is a problem with the hotel, I will be quarantined and affect my mission.

At this time, it is difficult to find delivery vehicles, and one driver is isolated, one less. Protecting myself means protecting delivery resources.

For more than 20 days, I ran through Baoshan, Yangpu, Hongkou, Minhang, Jinshan, and delivered supplies to more than 20 communities every day.

In order to avoid too much contact between people, after the supplies were delivered to the community, I would unload the supplies one by one, and often the clothes would be soaked after a truckload of supplies was unloaded.

My clothes were worn front and back many times, and they were too dirty to wear, so I simply rinsed them in the bathroom of the gas station.

Now that the weather is warmer, and the spring wind is drying, hang it by the car window and it can be worn in a while.

"It's the first time I've 'begged food' when I'm so old, and I feel beautiful in my heart"

On April 8, Yang Chunbo and his colleagues cooperated with the civil affairs department to transport more than 3,000 catties of vegetables to 5 nursing homes in Hongkou District and the homes of some elderly people living in Gaohua Community, Minhang District.

Yang Chunbo: My colleague Wang Xianchang and I undertook this transportation task. We finished the nucleic acid overnight the night before, started work at 7 am, and delivered the vegetables to our destination at noon.

Because I didn't eat breakfast, after I moved the last vegetable out of the car, I bit the bullet and asked the staff at the nursing home, I was so hungry, could you give us a warm meal?

The staff quickly brought us meals and said, "Why are you so polite, eat open, and leave when you're full. Without you, we'd all be starving."

When I heard him say this, my heart was very beautiful.

This is the first time I have "begged for food" when I grew up. The old people in my family call the begging "Hundred Family Meal", but I think this is the most glorious "Hundred Family Meal" I have ever eaten.

"The delivery was passing by the house, and my parents handed me a meal through the window"

Yang Chunbo: On April 7, I ate a meal made by my parents.

That day, I went to Baoshan to deliver the goods and told my parents in advance. My mother asked me to turn around after delivery and go home to meet.

That day, my mother prepared a sumptuous meal, including braised pork and braised fish. I could not enter the community, nor could my parents come out. The food was delivered from the window. In order to reassure my parents, I was separated from the window. I ate all the food in front of my parents.

When I put food in my mouth, I was impulsively wanting to stay and stay at home with my parents, but suddenly another idea popped up. My parents can have food at home because many people have been running on the road. Give them food.

After cooking, I waved to my parents and set off again.

On the night of April 8, I received a call from the Cainiao material dispatcher, saying that the ingredients we delivered that day solved the problem of eating for more than 700 elderly people.

I was suddenly in a better mood, and I played a song, "True Hero" by Jackie Chan.

I opened the car window and put my voice to the maximum: the bright starry sky, who is the real hero, ordinary people moved me the most... (End)
