Jordan Bardella, acting president of the Rassemblement national, said Monday on a set of the CNews channel that presidential candidate Marine Le Pen did not want journalist Anne-Sophie Lapix to be chosen to moderate the debate. two rounds which will oppose him, as in 2017, to Emmanuel Macron.

"Marine Le Pen does not want Anne-Sophie Lapix to lead the debate, because there is such a bias."

This statement is that of Jordan Bardella, interim president of the National Rally, held on CNews in Pascal Praud's show.

"I respect Anne-Sophie Lapix as a journalist, but she cannot hide her hostility towards Marine Le Pen each time she receives her. And Emmanuel Macron does not want Anne-Sophie Lapix either more,” he added.

Indeed, Emmanuel Macron could also oppose the presence of Anne-Sophie Lapix for the debate.

For the moment, there is no certainty about the identity of the journalists who will present this debate.

But several names circulate, such as those of Gilles Bouleau, Léa Salamé and Anne-Claire Coudray.

This is not the first time that Marine Le Pen has objected to the presence of a journalist for this debate.

In 2017, she had already refused to have Anne-Claire Coudray present the debate between the two rounds.

It was Christophe Jakubyszyn and Nathalie Saint-Cricq who were then chosen to moderate the debate.
