Marina Ovsiannikova, still threatened by prison

The editor of this conservative daily said that "Marina Ovsiannikova defended the most important journalistic virtues, despite the threat of state repression."

Under the recent law which heavily penalizes any "false information" about the Russian army and the war in Ukraine, Marina Ovsiannikova still risks criminal prosecution of up to 15 years in prison.

On March 22, it was another German media that had hired a journalist prevented by this war.
