As the issue of special military service for members of the group BTS has risen to the surface again, member Suga's past lyrics are being re-examined together.

In May 2020, Suga released the second mixtape 'D-2' under the name 'Agust D'.

The re-examined lyrics are the b-side song 'What do you think?

(What do you think?)'

Suga indirectly revealed his feelings about military service with the lyrics, "The military will take care of themselves when the time comes, so shut up the X meals that tried to put spoons on while selling our names."

BTS received the military service benefit that allows them to postpone enlistment until the age of 30 as the amendment to the Military Service Act was promulgated to add 'excellents in the field of popular culture and arts' to those who can postpone military conscription or convocation in 2020.

Member Jin, born on December 4, 1992, must enlist by the end of this year, when he turns 30, unless there is an additional amendment to include artists from popular culture in the alternative service of 'art and athletics agents', which is limited to those who excel in the arts and sports fields.

The amendment is currently pending in the National Assembly.

Regarding this, Jin said, "We talked a lot with the company, and we talked about leaving the company as much as possible, so I think what the company said will soon be our story."

Jinhyeong Lee, the communications officer of BTS' agency Hive, also carefully mentioned the issue of military service at a press conference held in Las Vegas on the 9th (local time).

He said, "The members are currently entrusting the company with military service-related tasks. Members have repeatedly said in the past, 'If there is a call from the state, I will respond', and this has not changed." If we move on to the second half of the year, the National Assembly will be reorganized and discussions without promises will continue, but it is true that such uncertainty is difficult.”
