Amid concerns about the 7th wave of the new coronavirus, the Kashiwa City Medical Association in Chiba Prefecture has created a manual that facilitates the transfer of patients who have recovered from their symptoms in order to prevent the tightness of the dedicated bed.

In Chiba Prefecture, we are proceeding with efforts to transfer patients who have recovered from their symptoms to a medical institution called a "logistical support hospital" in order to prevent the strain on the dedicated bed of the new corona.

However, according to the Kashiwa City Medical Association, acceptance by logistical support hospitals has not progressed in Kashiwa City and the surrounding areas due to concerns about acceptance.

In response to this, the Kashiwa City Medical Association has recently created a manual for smooth acceptance with logistical support hospitals in the city.

As a general rule, the manual does not require a PCR test because it is not highly infectious when accepted by logistical support hospitals, patients do not have to be isolated in a private room, and there is a possibility of contact with body fluids. It is shown that no protective clothing is required.

Hideko Sato, the chief nurse of Okada Hospital, which is designated as a logistical support hospital, said, "I would like to use the manual to help patients return to their original lives."

In addition, Dr. Takeshi Okada said, "It is important to accept at the logistical support hospital and divide the roles in order to prevent the sickbed from becoming tight."
