About fifteen residents of the Cos Saint-Philibert establishment in Dijon (Côte-d'Or) were recently able to participate in an animal mediation session with owls and owls.

The animals had been brought to the establishment for the elderly by the association Les Chouettes du cœur, tells France 3 Bourgogne Franche-Comté.

Smiles and lit faces

The seniors were able to be as close as possible to the animals, even petting them or having them on their arm.

"It's really an incredible experience, I never thought I could do this in my life," testified a resident.

As soon as the animals entered the room, the carers could see the faces of the fifteen elderly people light up.

As expected, the attendees laughed and clapped.

The elderly thus got to know several owls and owls, learned to tell the difference between the two and meditated with them.

After the session, the animals were rested.

This activity is only made possible by respecting their needs and rhythm of life.
