Soviet film director and screenwriter Andrei Tarkovsky was born 90 years ago. His first full-length work was the painting "Ivan's Childhood". Fame, including abroad, the director brought the film "Andrei Rublev". The philosophical fantasy drama Solaris, based on the novel by Stanislav Lem, was awarded a special jury prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and Tarkovsky's The Mirror and Stalker were also highly appreciated at international competitions. Later, the cinematographer went to Italy to shoot the film "Nostalgia" and decided not to return to the USSR. He died in 1986 in Paris. British director Danny Boyle called Tarkovsky "the god of cinematographers".
