Currently, Guangzhou is building a makeshift hospital at the Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center.
From 8:00 on April 9th to 14:00 on April 10th, Guangzhou added 21 new cases of local infection of the new coronavirus, and 1 previously announced asymptomatic infection was transferred to the diagnosis.
Three of the 21 new infections were from one family gathering outbreak; 14 were from three workplace gathering outbreaks.
Epidemiological investigations show that most of the newly-infected people in Guangzhou come from medium-risk areas and various control areas in Baiyun District. Active investigations are mainly found in key groups, showing the characteristics of gathering in individual workplaces and families. The chain is basically clear.
Chen Bin, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, said: "We are confident that the epidemic will be controlled as soon as possible. However, the identified cases also remind that the epidemic does not rule out the possibility of hidden transmission in the community."
At present, the first round of nucleic acid screening for all staff in Guangzhou has basically been completed. Starting on the afternoon of the 10th, a new round of nucleic acid screening will be organized in some areas.
According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, the Guangzhou Epidemic Prevention and Control Command Office has decided that starting from 0:00 on April 11, citizens will not leave Guangzhou unless it is necessary.
The person in charge of the Guangzhou Education Bureau announced at the meeting that starting from April 11, the city's primary and secondary schools (except senior three with accommodation and closed management conditions) will suspend offline teaching and adopt online teaching; senior three have accommodation conditions Yes, the school implements fully closed management, and online teaching is carried out without accommodation conditions.
Kindergartens suspend the admission of children, off-campus training institutions suspend offline teaching, and custody institutions suspend services.
Colleges and universities implement closed management, and students do not leave the school unless necessary.
According to Wu Linbo, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Municipal Government, the Comprehensive Team of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council requires each province to have at least 2 to 3 makeshift hospitals.
