This is how Hiba Abouk's makeup was done
Daniel Figuero, Dior perfume ambassador: "There are people you like better or worse because of how they smell"
Makeup artists demand visibility: "Without our makeup, many artists would not be who they are"
Hiba Abouk
(Madrid, 1986) arrives at the photo session in the capital pushing the stroller of her second child, a 10-day-old baby who will be stuck in the following hours, breastfeeding is compulsory.
Between takes and takes, the actress is transformed, by the hand of
Dior,
with make-up from past decades that are again a trend today.
Your favorites of hers?
"The 90s look, which reminds me of my younger days, and
the glam red lip,
always a hit," says Abouk.
A few days later, when we spoke with her
from Paris,
where she lives with her partner, the footballer
Achraf Hakimi,
it was natural to ask her how she agreed to get into such a mess, our beauty production, with such a recent birth.
"Although it is the most violent event that can happen to the human body,
I felt fine.
Besides, it amuses me, and that's how I got out of
the boob-diaper loop,"
he acknowledges.
In fact, she was delighted at all times;
not in vain, for her, this
makeup and hairstyle,
"doesn't stop being another
means of expression
through which I really like to communicate".
Far from seeming frivolous to her, taking off her pajamas, getting off the couch, taking a shower, and putting on lipstick energizes her.
And that for Hiba Abouk beauty, aside from the obviousness of having particular physical features, lies "in your state of mind:
positive, cheerful people,
who have a yes for an answer, that's beautiful".
Hiba Abouk, from Madrid to Paris
From Madrid
he misses the food and its people, but from Paris he stays "with the cultural offer, the musicality of the language and the fact that it is so cosmopolitan, that there is
so much color in the street".
Three details that say a lot about her, from Madrid with Tunisian parents, who speaks
five languages
and who, before launching her acting career in 2014, with the role of
Fatima
in the series
'The Prince',
studied Arabic Philology.
All the fruit of her innate curiosity, she says, the one that makes her passionate about music (flamenco and jazz), about literature - although she admits with laughter that right now
she is not reading Chekhov,
precisely, but a book about postpartum - and don't rule out going back to college.
In France he has also found the place to work.
In 2021, a year full of projects with
the short 'Hands Free' and the series 'Madres',
she also participated in the French '
J'ai tué mon mari'.
40's
The golden age of Hollywood had
red lips and black eyeliner
as its hallmarks.
Today they are taken up almost verbatim, and this is how makeup artist
Kley Kafe, Dior's ambassador in Spain, interprets them.

60's
The aesthetic popularized
by Twiggy or the Jane Fonda from 'Barbarella'
is once again a trend.
The key is to enhance
the lashes
with mascara (no need to go overboard) and
draw in fake freckles
with two shades of
Dior brow pencil,
the trick of makeup artist Kley Kafe.

Earrings, from Rabat.
Eyelashes and freckles to the 60s
Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara (€39), Dior Addict shade 373 stick (€39) and Diorshow Brow Styler eyebrow pencil, to draw freckles (€29).
All from

70's
Disco fever
translated to makeup in shimmering shadows like mirror balls.
Greens, purples or blues, like
Dior
shadows ,
applied in a very faded way, are an option worthy of 2022.

90's
Of all the
revival trends,
it is preferred by the younger generations.

profusion of gloss
and a slightly darker lip outline than the chosen color.

Very personal
Something new in hand?
"No, I'm on a break that I hope to prolong,
I want to enjoy my family
and then we'll see," she says.
Because the rush does not go with Hiba Abouk, neither now nor throughout her career.
It is a rare avis in the world of interpretation, where it is common for actors to splice one project with another.
"My priority is my personal life
and, I always say, it's because I can afford it. If I had to pay a mortgage, make ends meet, I would have to take any series they offered me, but fortunately that's not my case," admits.
Whoever said from a young age at home that "mom, I want to be an artist", appears in these images now as
Veronica Lake,
now as
Jane Fonda
in
'Barbarella'.
However, the one who really freaks out Hiba Abouk is
Romy Schneider
in 'The important thing is to love', a film that, on the other hand, would not have starred as hard, unlike any of
Almodóvar,
"who writes
roles for incredible women".
And does Abouk dream of something else in his life?
"Personally, that we are all healthy; professionally... Well,
I would love to do
a James Bond ."
As a Bond girl?
"Well,
if it were already James Bond, it would seem to me the most,
the most, the most. If that happens, I'll retire like
Rihanna
and dedicate myself to something else, I swear!"
