Iraq .. Suspension of two artists from work for "violating work behavior"

Today, Saturday, the Iraqi Artists Syndicate announced the suspension of two artists from work and media appearances for a period of three months, for “violating the rules and behaviors of artistic work.”

The official Iraqi News Agency quoted the captain of the Artists Syndicate, Jabbar Joudi, as saying that "the union issued a decision today to stop and prevent both Enas Al-Khalidi and Tayseer Al-Iraqiya from appearing in the media and working for a period of three months."

Judy added, "The union referred the two artists to the Disciplinary Committee, and an order was issued to stop them from working and appearing in the media."

The agency pointed out that the decision came "after a wave of rejection on the communication sites, which demanded the cessation of television works that offend public taste."

And local media, including "Nas News", published a document issued by the Iraqi Artists Syndicate calling on the Media and Communications Commission to stop the "Marmarni Tony" program from showing on Iraqi television.

The document stated that the aforementioned program, which is shown on the Zackros channel, is "a hidden camera program that is poorly presented and offensive to the artist participating in it and to the receiving audience."

It is noteworthy that Tayseer Al-Iraqiya had participated in one of the episodes of the "Marmarni Tony" program that was shown last Thursday, while Enas Al-Khalidi participated in the dumps program shown in Ramadan.
