The Department of Public Iftaa in Jordan said that purity is not a condition of fasting.

And in her obscurity for the seventh day of Ramadan, the fatwa clarified, “For whoever became pure before dawn, and she intended to fast, then her fast is valid, even if she did not take a bath before dawn.”

She added that it was narrated on the authority of Aisha and Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with them, that the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was awakened by dawn when he was close to his family, then he would wash and fast, narrated by Al-Bukhari.

The fatwa noted that ablution is a condition for the validity of prayer, so it is necessary to take a bath to perform the prayers on time.
