The works are from the last century but the images of the war are timeless.

The exhibition Humanity highlights the calls of four popular Swedish artists against war and fascism.

Albin Amelin's painting Sommar is from 1943 and depicts some women who took shelter with their children in a basement.

On a table is a rifle.

- Similar scenes are taking place around the world right now.

It is as if no time has elapsed between the fact that these paintings were made and today, says Paulina Sokolow, guest curator.

In Humanity, a series of graphic papers printed on cheap newsprint, they created an artistic appeal against Nazism and fascism in Europe.

- It was January 1933 that Hitler took over the husband in Germany and these artists decided that we must do something and quickly make a publication and warn of what was going on.

There are four artists who had an unwavering belief in the power of the image.

They believed that with the image you can change people, says Paulina Sokolow.
