[Explanation] Wearing a vest and a thin body, this gray-haired middle-aged man is Zhang Zhongde, the vice president of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is also affectionately called "Uncle De" by everyone on weekdays.

On March 16, Zhang Zhongde led a mainland medical team dispatched by Guangdong Province to Hong Kong to arrive in Hong Kong, and carried out treatment for more than 20 consecutive days in the community isolation facility of the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo.

(Our) work in AsiaWorld-Expo has also received special support and assistance from the Hong Kong SAR government and the Hospital Authority. All members of our mainland Chinese medicine team are given an immunity to enter the red zone for investigation. In the ward, we went to the ward to conduct ward rounds and consultations, and they recorded the conditions we needed and the prescriptions issued in the work area.

Therefore, our mainland and Hong Kong personnel cooperate very well.

[Explanation] He said that after in-depth discussions between the Central China-aided Anti-epidemic Chinese Medicine Expert Group, the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Chinese medicine industry, 4 diagnosis and treatment plans were formed, which are aimed at home quarantined people, the elderly, patients, and post-rehabilitation treatment. In other respects, we strive to make Hong Kong citizens "easy to understand, easy to do and easy to obtain".

[Concurrent] Zhang Zhongde, Vice President of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

One is how to choose and take traditional Chinese medicine for this part of the population who are isolated at home, giving a very detailed and highly operable guidance plan.

The other one is about the elderly patients in the AsiaWorld-Expo (community isolation facility) and the temporary care center. The other is to have some questions and answers. When the patient does not understand, he also tells him that there is a platform for consultation , the consulting agency can consult (condition).

In addition, some recovered (patients) in the later stage, because Hong Kong now sees that many new coronary pneumonia (patients) have several major symptoms and some sequelae after recovery. We have also cooperated with the Hong Kong industry and the Hong Kong SAR government to formulate this plan. When we came out, we reached a consensus with the Hong Kong industry.

The three "easy" are "easy to understand, easy to do, easy to get".

[Commentary] Zhang Zhongde said that now, the amount of traditional Chinese medicine treatment in the Fangcang shelter hospital has been greatly increased, and the effect is remarkable. The efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of mild and ordinary patients and asymptomatic infections has been generally recognized.

At present, whether in Hong Kong or in the mainland, Chinese medicine is very effective in the treatment of new coronary pneumonia when the disease is mild and common in the early stage and asymptomatic infections.

You see, the World Health Organization has also issued an announcement, and also recognized the evaluation conclusions, and also recognized that traditional Chinese medicine has its very good curative effect in the treatment of mild and common types of new coronary pneumonia.

[Explanation] From Wuhan Leishenshan Hospital to the Hong Kong World Expo Fangcang shelter hospital, Zhang Zhongde walked all the way, without hesitation.

He admitted that 19 years ago, he was also a patient with atypical pneumonia, and it was Chinese medicine that made him recover as before.

He is well aware of the pain points of patients, and hopes to use the window of Hong Kong to introduce Chinese medicine treatment solutions to the world.

Because China has seen and encountered many infectious diseases for thousands of years, during this process, our ancients used their wisdom and clinical experience to summarize a very good set of theoretical systems. Look at the past 20 years. From SARS (atypical pneumonia) to avian influenza, influenza A, and dengue fever in Guangdong in 2014, I was both a patient and a doctor during the treatment process, so we have a certain understanding of this infectious disease.

It is hoped that after the epidemic, we will strengthen this kind of cooperation and exchanges, strengthen this kind of integration, and make more use of Hong Kong, a special international metropolis, for the development of our Chinese medicine business to the world and give full play to the advantages of Hong Kong.
