On April 7, with the help of the police from the Tanjiaqiao Police Station of the Huangshan Branch of the Public Security Bureau of Huangshan City, Anhui Province, a national second-class protected wild animal, the white pheasant, was rescued and released into the forest in time.

On the same day, the police of Tanjiaqiao Police Station found an animal with gray feathers, a red crown and red claws while on duty patrolling. After identification, it was judged that it was a national second-class protected animal, the white pheasant.

Due to the large traffic flow and people flow at the scene, in order to avoid the white pheasant from being hurt, considering that the white pheasant has living conditions, the police took it to a densely wooded place in Tanjiaqiao Town to release it.

It is understood that the white pheasant is mainly distributed in Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan and other southern provinces. There are as many as 16 subspecies. They mainly inhabit subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests below 2,000 meters above sea level. They are alert, timid and frightened. Shiduo runs from downhill to uphill.

The police reminded that it is currently at a time when various birds are breeding and nesting intensively. If you encounter wild animals outdoors, please call the police in time or contact the wildlife protection department for treatment.
